It was
a “Don’t worry, be happy” crowd who gathered with deep “gratitude” at this
fruitful, eventful and successful meeting.
Firstly,
we expressed our deepest “gratitude” to Sharanjit Kaur, CC, from REAL
Toastmasters Club for her gracious presence as our General Evaluator for this

that although money was essential, it was not the all-important item to beget

Fifth
and final volunteer, Ken Koh, ACB attempted “Happy people are not thankful,
thankful people are not happy” stressed that whether happy or unhappy, we must
remain thankful as all good things would come our way when we expressed
“gratitude” for whatever we had.

Third prepared
speech speaker, Jeannie, ACS, ALB narrated her encounters with both
Toastmasters and non-Toastmasters in her HPL speech, titled “To charter Teluk
Pulai Club”.

evaluator, SK Ratnam, DTM was contented with the lessons she had learnt during
her leadership experience. Thank you, SK!
There
was no voting for Best Speaker as all speakers were time disqualified, while the
Best Evaluator was SK Ratnam, DTM! Congratulations again, SK!

Grammarian,
Sam Koh presented a detailed report on the usage of words and sentences during
the meeting. Great job, Sam!
Listening
Evaluator, Ken Koh, ACB gave ten apparently simple questions which was quite
misleading, therefore there was no Best Listener for this meeting as nobody got
at least eight correct answers. Well
done, Ken!
Ah
Counter, Muhammad Akmal gave his report on all the speakers who uttered “pause
fillers” during the meeting. Great listening skills, Akmal!
Nicholas
Khoo presented a meticulous timing report of the whole meeting. Timely job,
Nick!
General
Evaluator, Sharanjit Kaur, CC was awed with our smooth-running meeting
proceedings and positive, enthusiastic members and guests. Thank you, Sharan!
President
Ken Koh, ACB made the following announcements at the end of the meeting:
1. He
announced that he is organizing a membership campaign for meetings in the
months of November and December 2015, encouraging all members to bring a guest
each to the meeting and when the guest becomes a member, the member who brought
the guest will receive a gift.
2. He
announced that our club will be conducting a “Youth Leadership Program” from 4th
– 6th December, 2015 from 9.00am to 5.00pm. He encouraged all members to help
recruit youths from the ages of 12-17+ to register for the programme and
encourage the members to help out during the three days programme.
